Poddar Tyres Ltd had spent decades earning a reputation for product quality and plain-dealing ethics — as a bicycle tyre manufacturer. The business needed to move with its market: launch a motorcycle tyre brand, command a higher perceived value, and do it without abandoning the customers who already trusted the old name.

Starting from the company’s own principles, we built the launch plan for a new brand in the motorcycle segment. Mapping the customer’s buying journey surfaced the doubts every unknown tyre brand meets at the counter — never heard of it, looks local, why should I trust it? — and the strategy answered each one. The technological hook became Nitrocure, positioning Bedrock as India’s first tyre with nitrogen-cured rubber, a tech-savvy brand preferred by the people riders actually listen to: mechanics and off-roaders.

The visual language carried the same grit — a red-and-black system, black-and-white campaign photography from the workshop and the trail, and packaging revamped from a commodity sleeve to a branded pack that shouts from a parts-shop shelf. Tuff tyres for ruff roads, spelled the way the road says it.

“We wanted to give our company new wings, and Libcom branding was the right partner. The team has helped us take our ideas and shape them into a unique and inspirational brand. They also devised a strategy for our launch, and we could not be more thrilled with the results.”
